Background

The owner and principal of Aura Engineering, LLC is Mr. Gary N. Lawrence.  Mr. Lawrence is a registered professional engineer and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1978 with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering.

Mr. Lawrence has been providing engineering services to clients in the Gulf Coast area since moving to Houston  in 1989, first as an engineer and part owner of Phoenix Engineering, Inc. and since 1996 as owner of Aura Engineering, LLC.

Mr. Lawrence is a recognized expert in the area of vapor collection from marine vessels, truck and rail car loading, storage tanks and process equipment.  Mr. Lawrence designed and commissioned the first US Coast Guard “certified” marine vapor control system, and since that time has designed dozens more that are working throughout the United States.  Lawrence’s designs are currently recovering emissions from 100’s of chemicals in applications as far away as landfills in Chile.

Mr. Lawrence also has extensive experience in the design of combustion systems, including all types of flares, thermal oxidizers and incinerators, and burners.

In addition to Mr. Lawrence, Aura Engineering, LLC also has personnel with decades of experience in the design and installation of liquid transfer systems and also in the design of electrical and instrumentation.

Company Profile

Aura Engineering was established in 1996 with the goal of providing engineering design services to storage terminals and to develop vapor recovery projects along with selling vapor recovery equipment.  Since then, Aura has grown in capability and currently provides a wide range of engineering services to the petrochemical and refining industry throughout the United States and the world.

Aura’s experience in vapor collection, process design, and combustion systems has proven to be a valuable addition to many of our clients.  Aura’s has safely collected vapors generated by 100’s of chemicals from a wide variety of applications.  Quite often the collected vapors are mixed with air and are in the combustible range.  Aura’s design assures safe collection of flammable and hazardous materials.

Aura’s unique designs are often accompanied by the sale of equipment specifically designed for our clients project needs.  Aura provides equipment for the following applications for all project sizes:
